VesselFinder DEMO DATA no key saved — positions are synthetic key, demo data, name lookup
Find a vessel by name
The AIS API has no name search, so this reads the IMO off the vessels expected into your port. It works best late in a voyage — further out the crew often has not set the destination yet. Two matches and it shows both rather than guess.
Key and demo data
Demo voyages are excluded from the mill averages. The key is stored outside the app folder and is never copied into a restore point.

Add a vessel
Only the name is required. IMO is what the API keys on — names get reused and ships get renamed mid-voyage, the IMO never changes.
What the mills actually deliver
Promised transit vs real transit · counted off the anchor date
count from berth instead
Nothing to average yet. A voyage counts once it has both a departure date and an arrival date — anything still on the water would drag the average toward optimism.
Stored at C:\Users\TBiggs\PacketTrackerData\vessels.db — its own database, outside the app folder, so the launcher's rebuild and every restore point leave it alone. Nothing is ever deleted: an arrived vessel moves to history and keeps counting toward the mill averages.
